Princess Lalla Hasna of Morocco (الأميرة للا حسناء; born 19 November 1967) is a member of the Alaouite dynasty and the youngest daughter of Hassan II of Morocco and Lalla Latifa. She is the sister of the current king, Mohammed VI of Morocco.
Biography
[edit]Princess Lalla Hasna was born at the Royal Palace of Rabat on 19 November 1967.[citation needed] She was educated in Rabat and received her high school diploma from the Royal College.[citation needed]
Hasna is an accomplished equestrian.[1] Since childhood, she has shown interest in social and cultural activities, with a particular focus on environmental issues in Morocco. In 1999, she launched a national campaign to promote environmental protection and awarded a prize to the most beautiful and cleanest beach in the country.[citation needed]
In 2001, the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection was established with Princess Lalla Hasna as its chair. She heads the foundation’s governing board and regularly conducts site visits as part of environmental awareness programs.[2]
In 2002, she created the "Young Reporters for the Environment" award. In 2003, she introduced a photography prize awarded annually on World Environment Day.[citation needed]

Business
[edit]According to the Pandora Papers, Princess Lalla Hasna was linked to a shell corporation that purchased a property valued at approximately $11 million USD near Kensington Palace in London. The investigation reported that the funds used for the purchase originated from capital associated with the Moroccan royal family. Documents related to the transaction listed her occupation as "princess." At the time of reporting, no official response was provided to inquiries sent to the royal palace.[4][5]
Marriage
[edit]Princess Lalla Hasna married Dr. Khalil Benharbit, a cardiologist born in 1959, in a ceremony held at the Royal Palace in Fez on 8 and 9 September 1994.[6][7] The couple has two daughters:[8]
